New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set address the Post-Budget Webinar on 'Health and Medical Research tomorrow,m MaRCH 6, at 10 am via video conferencing.

THE webinar is part of a series of a dozen  Post-Budget Webinars organized by the Union Government to pool insights, ideas and suggestions for effective implementation of the initiatives announced in the Union Budget.

The Union Budget for 2023–24 is anchored by seven priorities that work in harmony with one another and serve as the "Saptarishi" to direct the Amrit Kaal. One of the government's top priorities is inclusive development, which includes opening 157 new nursing schools, promoting public and private medical research in ICMR labs, pharma innovation, and multidisciplinary courses for medical device development.

Three Breakout Seminars covering the pharmaceutical and health industries will be held concurrently during the webinar. A wide range of stakeholders, including Ministers and Secretaries from the relevant Central Government Ministries and Departments, subject matter experts, and representatives from businesses, associations, and private medical schools, hospitals, and institutes, among others, will participate in the Webinar and offer suggestions for improving how the Budget Announcements are implemented.

The themes of Breakout Sessions are Qualitative improvement in Nursing viz., Education and Practice, Infrastructure, Public & Private sector utilization of ICMR labs as facilitators for Medical Research; and Pharma innovation and multidisciplinary courses for medical devices.
