Bus overturns in Lucknow's Indira Canal, several people missing

Lucknow: The tragic incident has been reported on Thursday morning. In Lucknow, a bus loaded with people in marriage procession overturned in the Indira Canal. So far 22 people have been rescued while 7 children are missing. A team of NDRF is engaged to trace them.

As per the information received, the incident took place near Patwa Kheda village of Nagaram police station in Lucknow. About 29 people were on board when a vehicle was returning from a wedding ceremony. The train suddenly fell into the canal. Out of these, 22 people were rescued. This includes women and children. This has happened in the city in the past in which many people have lost their lives.

At the same time, 7 children are reported to be still missing. At present, the NDRF team is carrying out relief and rescue operations.  The victims are said to be residents of Barabanki and the incident is reported to be around 3 a.m. Thursday.
