BWF World Championships 2019: PV Sindhu reaches final for third consecutive time

NEW DELHI: India's star Badminton player PV Sindhu has entered the final of the BWF World Championships. Sindhu beat China's Chen Yu Fei in the semifinals to enter the final for the third year in a row. Sindhu won the match 21-7, 21-14 in 40 minutes. In the first game, Sindhu took an early lead and put Chen under pressure.

After coming under pressure, Chen made mistakes which gave Sindhu the advantage and took a 11-3 lead until the break. After the break, Chen Kross scored points by playing the court but he failed to reduce the lead. Sindhu won the first game 21-7 with a powerful smash and good court coverage lasted 15 minutes.

In the second game, Chen Yu Fei gave Sindhu a tough fight in the beginning and the match was almost equal. Sindhu had taken a 11-7 lead in the break time of the match. After the break, Sindhu did not give Fei much chances to score points and continued her attacking game. Although Sindhu lost two game points after reaching 20 points, the match lasted 25 minutes and ended with 21-14.
