New Delhi: Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag is known for his suggestions. He does not shy away from speaking. Sehwag once again said one thing about Kumble. Sehwag demanded Anil Kumble to be the selector of the Indian team at an event. When asked who should be the selector of Team India, Sehwag said that Anil Kumble can handle the responsibility very well.
Sehwag said that Kumble comes to fill the players with vigour and confidence even though BCCI should increase the salary of the Chief Selector. "Anil Kumble is the rightful contender for the post of Chief Selector," Sehwag said. He has been with veterans like Sachin, Ganguly and Dravid and as coaches he has spent time with young players.
Virender Sehwag also said, "I don't think Kumble will become the Chief Selector because the salary is very low. "If the BCCI increases the salary of the Chief Selector, many players will be willing to get the post," Sehwag said. When asked if he would like to become the Chief Selector, Sehwag said he did not like the restrictions. "I write columns, come on TV and as a selector I will have restrictions."
