Lucknow: The second death anniversary of the late Atal Bihari Vajpayee is on August 16. On this occasion, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath garlanded the statue of Atal Bihari Vajpayee in Lok Bhawan. And after which the Chief Minister bowed down to him. A 25-feet-tall bronze statue was installed at Lok Bhavan 8 months ago on the 95th birth anniversary of Atal Bihari at Lok Bhavan in Lucknow. Which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi. Today, the Chief Minister of UP Yogi Adityanath bowed to the same statue and saluted him. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and his cabinet colleagues also paid tributes to Atal Bihari Vajpayee, one of the country's most popular MPs, on his second death anniversary. It has been learned that Atal Bihari Vajpayee has represented Lucknow for more than a decade as an MP. He died in New Delhi on 16 August 2018. He has also been awarded the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian honor in 2015. After his death, Atal Samadhi was built in his name in Delhi. Vajpayee had been Prime Minister thrice: Bihari ji was born on 25 December 1924 in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. Atal Bihari Vajpayee was the only leader who held the post of PM 3 times after Jawaharlal Nehru. Vajpayee first became the PM for 13 days in 1996 and after that in 1998 he ran a 13-month government at the Center. He became the Prime Minister of the country 3 times in 1999 and remained in the post till the defeat of NDA in 2004. During his tenure, India has achieved this capability by conducting nuclear tests. Along with this, India had lost dust in the neighboring country by stopping the infiltration of Pakistan in Kargil.
