Cara Delevingne, known for her roles in movies like "Anna Karenina" and "Suicide Squad," is stepping onto the theatrical stage for the first time. She's set to star as Sally Bowles in the iconic musical "Cabaret" in London's West End. The musical "Cabaret" is based on the play "I Am a Camera" from 1951, which itself is inspired by Christopher Isherwood's novel "Goodbye to Berlin" from 1939. Delevingne's debut in the stage production is scheduled to begin on March 11th and run until June. She expressed her excitement about starting this new journey from her hometown. "I'm thrilled to make my stage debut in such an iconic role. I'm inspired by the talented actors who've portrayed Sally in past productions, and I can't wait to be part of this brilliant cast," Delevingne said. "Cabaret" is known as one of the most successful musicals of all time, set in 1929–1930 Berlin, amidst the hedonistic nightlife of the Kit Kat Klub. The story revolves around the American writer Clifford Bradshaw and his relationship with English cabaret performer Sally Bowles, all observed by the mysterious Emcee. Luke Treadaway, an Olivier Award winner, will take on the role of the Emcee in this production.
