Cardi B Apologises For Offending Indian Cultural In Her Recent Shoot With Rebook

Rap sensation Cardi B recently collaborated with a shoe brand in which the concept was described as ‘Homage of Durga’. The rapper apologizes for sporting a Goddess Durga "look" on the cover of a footwear magazine and it leads to social media outrage. She recently asks for forgiving her for offending Indian culture with her stint.

The actress posted a picture of her recent shoot for the November cover of Rebook Footwear posing 10 hands and in one she was carrying a shoe. This photo went viral on social media for disrespecting religion. When this all came up to her more harshly then she posted an Instagram story writing, “Sorry guys, I didn't mean to offend or disrespect anybody's culture. I can't change the passed but I'll be more cautious about the future." The songwriter apologizes for posing as Goddess Durga on the cover of a footwear magazine for its November 2020. In the video above the rapper describes why she posed herself in such a manner. “When I did the shoot, the creatives told me I was going to represent a Goddess; that she represents strength, femininity, and liberation, and that’s something I love and I’m all about... I wouldn’t like it if someone did it to my religion.”

However, netizens were unhappy with the concept of the photoshoot and went on outraging the rapper for hurting sentiments. One of her fans on Twitter slams her for disrespecting Indian culture and Goddess Durga. She also writes that ‘Cardi B can’t get away with this without addressing and apologizing for mocking our culture.’
