No sample nor test, this tool will use the sound of cough for the corona test

New Delhi: To understand, detect and avoid the coronavirus, researchers around the world are making a variety of tools and analyzing hundreds of ways to prevent infection. Professor Rita Singh of Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh has designed a tool that can detect a corona infection by a person's coughing sound, his or her way of speaking, and even breathing.

Currently, researchers are recording patients' voices and their coughing sounds and then through AI algorithms these recordings determine whether a person has a corona infection. Regarding the Corona Voice Detector, Professor Singh says that it traces the subtle movements of a person's voice that are not heard by the general audience, but still present.

Any condition affecting the lungs or respiratory system - as detected in cases of corona infection - has an impact on voice. This tool is basically a self-learning system that is trying to understand not only common cough, but also corona infection present in voice.
