Case filed against many leaders including Vijayvargiya in Bengal

Kolkata: Kolkata Police has registered a case against several people including the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national general secretary Vijayvargiya . Those against whom the case was filed include BJP national vice president Mukul Roy, MP Lockett Chatterjee, Arjun Singh, Rakosh Singh, Bharatiya Ghosh and Jayaprakash Majumdar.

All of them are accused of being illegally gathered in violation of law. It is noteworthy that during the march from the BJP to the State Secretariat on Thursday, violence erupted at several places in Kolkata and Howrah. In many places the police had to resort to lathi-charge and used tear gas shells and water cannons to disperse the crowd.

Along with Howrah Maidan, Howrah Bridge and Santragachi, Kolkata's Burrabazar and Hastings looked as if the battleground had been built, where a scuffle broke out between BJP supporters and the police. Traffic was disrupted at most places in the central areas of the city from around 2 pm. Let us tell you that the BJP had come out in protest against the killing of one of its workers.
