New Delhi: Corona is still becoming fatal for patients suffering from diseases like COPD (black asthma), CKD (chronic kidney disease), sepsis and cancer. Even after taking one or both doses of the vaccine, the risk of infection for these patients remains intact which has been revealed in the report of the Death Audit Committee of the Government of Delhi. According to the report, 228 persons died of coronavirus in Delhi between January 1 and 15. Out of these, when 143 deaths were audited, more than 80 per cent were found to be suffering from these diseases before becoming positive. These include all age group above 0 to 12 and 18 years. There is also a figure that 70 per cent of the deaths are of persons who did not take a single dose of the vaccine. While one or two doses have also died, more than one or two doses were observed. According to the report, 25,107 people of coronavirus had died in Delhi till 31st December 2021, but the total death toll has gone up to 25335 till 15th January. Between 1st and 15th January, 228 persons died due to infection, the highest since June last year.
