New Delhi: Taking a big action, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested Mohammad Khalid Moin, Professor of Jamia Millia Islamia University on Wednesday (March 16, 2022). He was posted as Professor in the Civil Engineering Department of Jamia. He has been arrested in a case of bribery of Rs 1 lakh. Along with him, the CBI has also taken two of his associates Abid Khan and Prakhar Pawar with them. Both of them are associated with a private company located in Okhla, Delhi. A case had already been registered in this matter. It is alleged that Professor Mohammad Khalid Moin was engaged in various fraudulent activities in association with several private builders, architects and touts. Various construction projects were being given 'Structural Stability Certificates' by taking bribe. CBI laid a trap and caught the professor along with his associates while taking bribe. Raids are also being conducted at other places of the accused. The accused will be produced in the court of New Delhi. Let us tell you that before building the buildings, a certificate has to be taken for it and it is checked how safe it will be, but certificates were being given by taking bribe. Prakhar Pawar is an architect in a private company, while Abid Khan is an employee of the same company. CBI spokesperson RC Joshi gave information about the arrest. Now all three of them will be presented in the special court of CBI. These people, in association with the company located in Phase-3 of Okhla, were giving fake certificates to buildings and charging fees in return. Government institutions not raising questions on the structures, that is why this game was being played. The CBI is now ascertaining that how many such buildings have been given certificates in this manner so far. In Gurugram's Sector-109, the floor of a building had collapsed recently. The certificate for that building was also issued by the same professor. That too is being checked.
