The Central Bureau of Investigation today has arrested a Joint Director of Technical Education and Industrial Training of Punjab government in a bribe matter of Rs 50,000. He was arrested as he asked and accepted the money from individual who runs an industrial training institute in Chandigarh. In an inspection that was conducted in the victim's institute, the officials told him that it is running without proper laboratory equipment. After which when he met the joint director, he asked him the bribe of Rs 50,000.
