CBI's big action in child sexual abuse case, raids in 14 states

New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is conducting searches at 76 locations across the country today in 14 states/UTs. CBI has registered 23 separate cases on November 14, 2021, against a total of 83 accused on charges related to online child sexual abuse and exploitation. These States/UTs include Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Bihar, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Haryana, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh.

According to the National Adolescent Health Programme to prevent sexual abuse of children, Child Protection Week has been organized in all districts of the state from November 14 to 20. An awareness campaign against child sexual abuse will be launched by organizing various programmes. Dr. Ved Prakash, General Manager, Adolescent Health Programme, National Health Mission-UP has sent a letter to all chief medical officers of the state directing them to organize the programmes. Which can sensitize people on the issue of child sexual abuse as well as provide a safer environment for children.

Child sexual abuse is becoming an international problem all over the world. This problem is caused by the plays of jumping childhood slowly being devastated. Crime against children is also on the rise in India on a large scale. The CBI has set up a separate unit two years ago to prevent similar crimes. Which will curb online child sexual abuse against children across the country. It is also true that in the last few years, one after the other gruesome incidents of child sexual abuse in the country have bowed the head of human society in shame.
