Bail to Lalu Yadav in three cases of fodder scam, CBI to challenge the bail in SC

Ranchi: CBI is preparing to challenge the bail of Lalu Yadav, who has got bail in three cases of fodder scam, in the Supreme Court. Lalu Yadav has been found guilty in 4 out of 5 cases of fodder scam. But in 3 of these 4 cases, he has got bail. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is going to challenge this bail in the Supreme Court.

At present, the trial of Lalu Yadav in the fifth case of fodder scam is going on. This case is related to unlawful withdrawal of Rs 139 crore from Doranda treasury. If Lalu Yadav gets bail in case of illegal withdrawal of Rs 3.13 crore from Dumka treasury, then the way out of his jail will be cleared. However, hearing of this case is possible only after November 6 as the Jharkhand High Court will open after the festive holidays.

Let us tell you that in the case of illegal withdrawal from Dumka treasury, RJD supremo Lalu Yadav has been imprisoned for 7 years in 2 sections. Lalu Yadav is on bail in the case of illegal withdrawal of Rs 79 lakh from Deoghar treasury. In this case, he was sentenced to 3.5 years. Lalu Yadav has also been granted bail on 9 October 2020 in the withdrawal of Rs 33.13 crore from Chaibasa Treasury.
