CBI took Wadhawan brothers in custody

New Delhi: The Van Housing Finance Limited (DHFL) promoters Kapil and Dheeraj Wadhawan have been taken into custody by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Now the paperwork for the arrest of these two has started. These two will be brought to Mumbai. On the request of CBI, Satara police are providing them with the necessary police escort. According to CBI sources, the process of filing a non-bailable warrant against the Wadhawan brothers has started.

The investigation is going on in the money laundering case against Kapil Wadhawan, chairman and managing director of Dewan Housing Finance Limited and non-executive director Dheeraj Wadhavan, in which Kapil Wadhawan was arrested by the ED. But now he is out on bail. The investigation is going on against Rana Kapoor in the Yes Bank fraud case, in which the Wadhawan brothers are under the target of ED and CBI under the investigation of money laundering.

The CBI will present both in court before the Wadhawan brothers are taken into custody. The non-bailable warrant issued against the Wadhawan brothers was banned till May 5 but was recently cancelled. The CBI team has reached their house in Mahabaleshwar to take the two brothers into custody. After taking it from here, both will be produced in the court.
