Central government transfers 22 top officials; Saurabh Garg becomes new UIDAI CEO

New Delhi: The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has appointed its new Chief Executive Officer. The Modi government has transferred 22 officials on Thursday. Whereas Senior IAS Saurabh Garg has been elected as the new CEO of UIDAI. Saurabh Garg, 1991 batch IAS officer is currently posted in his cadre state of Odisha.

A total of 22 bureaucrats have been designated to different ministries as part of Thursday's reshuffle. Sanjeev Kumar, a 1991 batch IAS officer of Maharashtra cadre, has been appointed as the Chairman of the Airports Authority of India. Nitish Chandra, IAS officer of Bihar cadre of 1994 batch, has been made chairman and MD of FCI.

IAS officers Arvind Srivastava and P Amudha have been appointed as additional secretaries in the Prime Minister's Office (PMO). Earlier, both the officers were in the post of Joint Secretary in PMO. The Cabinet Committee has appointed 15 officers as additional secretaries by giving promotions.
