Health ministry statement on the second wave of corona

New Delhi: The country is recovering rapidly from the second wave of the corona epidemic. The Health Ministry informed on Friday that more than 100 cases were being registered every day in 531 districts of the country in the first week of May. In the first week of June, the figure has been reduced to 262 districts (in each one).

According to the Health Ministry, at present, more than 100 cases are being reported in only 125 districts of the country. 51,666 corona cases have been registered in the last 24 hours. Corona cases have declined by 24 percent in the last week. The number of active cases has also been reduced to 6,12,000. Health Ministry Joint Secretary Luv Agarwal has informed that the recovery rate in the country has gone up to 96.7 percent. We are conducting 17.58 lakh covid tests every day.

He said that 31,13,18,355 vaccine doses have been administered in the country so far. More than 34 lakh vaccine supplements have been administered in the country in the last few hours alone. States and Union Territories currently have more than 1.5 crore doses of vaccine. Not only that, more than 47 lakh doses are in the pipeline. The Central Government is committed to expanding the scope of corona vaccination across the country.
