New Delhi: The outbreak of the second wave of the global epidemic coronavirus has left the country badly shocked. Cases of death and new infections have been recorded manifold than the first wave. According to the Indian Medical Association (IMA), 776 doctors have died in the second wave, the highest of which 115 doctors have died in Bihar during the second wave. This was followed by the second-ranked national capital, Delhi, where 109 doctors died.

This was followed by 79 deaths in Uttar Pradesh, 62 in West Bengal, 50 in Tamil Nadu, 40 in Andhra Pradesh, 10 in Assam, 39 in Gujarat, and 39 in Jharkhand. In addition, 16 doctors have lost their lives in Madhya Pradesh, 23 in Maharashtra, 34 in Odisha, 44 in Rajasthan, and 37 in Telangana. More than 50,000 corona cases have been registered in the country for the third consecutive day on Friday.

According to the latest data released by the Health Ministry, 51,667 new corona cases have been registered and 1,329 infected people have lost their lives in the last 24 hours. Earlier on Wednesday 54,069, and 50,848 new cases were registered on Tuesday. In the last 24 hours, 64,527 people have recovered from corona, meaning that 14,189 active cases have been reduced yesterday.
