New Delhi: There is a fierce protest against the three bills related to farmers. The farmers are on the road and the Modi government is not ready to bow down. Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar has said in a statement that the concept of Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC) will continue. The farmers will get the benefit of this. He said that the minimum support price (MSP) will continue for the benefit of farmers. The Union Minister said that "I think some people did not read the bill carefully. On the resignation of Akali Dal leader Harsimrat Kaur Badal, Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said that there may be some political compulsion behind her resignation. On the plan to get the bill passed by the upper house, Narendra Singh Tomar said that we will discuss with the leaders of the opposition and try to put an end to the rumour about the bill". The whole controversy is about those three agricultural bills at the centre. These three bills are the Agricultural Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill, the Farmers (Protection and Empowerment Bill) on Price Assurance and Agricultural Services and the Essential Commodities Amendment Bill. This bill has been passed by the Lok Sabha and now it is ready to be passed in the Rajya Sabha.
