"In light of the recent relaxation of visa restrictions and introduction of foreign travel, it might have a major influence on the country's public health," Union Health and Family Welfare Secretary Rajesh Bhushan stated. The SARS-CoV-2 Genomics Consortium (INSACOG) and NCDC, the nodal agency for INSACOG, are carrying out genome sequencing in India, according to the letter. Its goal is to track and monitor the spread of Covid 19's Variant of Concern.
