Centre to move NCST Order Amendment Bill in LS today

New Delhi: The National Constitution (Scheduled Tribes) Order (Amendment) Bill (NCST) will be introduced in Lok Sabha today, March 14, as part of the beginning of second part of the Budget session.

Union Tribal Affairs Minister Arjun Munda will push forward the Bill. The bill also aims to alter the Constitution (Scheduled Tribes) Order, 1950, to add certain communities to the list of Scheduled Tribes in the state of Tripura.

Finance Minster Nirmala Sitharaman will also submit a statement of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir's expected earnings and expenditures for the fiscal year 2022-23. Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, the Congress's Lok Sabha leader, will give the Business Advisory Committee's twenty-ninth report today

On April 8, the second half of the Budget session will come to a close. The first half of the Budget session began on January 31 and ended on February 11, with the second half beginning on January 31 and ending on February 11.
