Until 3 years ago, Kajol Sargar was only associated with sports that she had gone to a local gymnasium to see her brother Sanket train in weightlifting. Hailing from Sangli, Maharashtra, Kajol has also seen her brother become India's top weightlifter, but even that hasn't inspired her to take up sports. Then one day in 2019, when she saw Roopa Hongandi, who hails from Sangli, winning a gold medal at the Khelo India Youth Games in Pune, everything has changed for Kajol since then.
