Opposition parties in Tamil Nadu condemn police action over CAA protest

Chennai: Demonstrations are still being held in many cities across the country regarding CAA and RNRC. On the other hand, a recent case is from Chennai in Tamil Nadu where a scuffle broke out between the protesters and the police in Washermanpet on Friday night. After this, the police detained more than 100 protesters. In this regard, the opposition party DMK has strongly condemned and demanded action against the policemen. Opposition parties, including the DMK, condemned the police action against the anti-CAA protesters here. He demanded action against the policemen who allegedly used force against the protesters.

Stalin said that due to unnecessary lathi-charge, the people across the state had to take to the streets due to unnecessary protest.
