NIA Arrests 2 For Killing in Bhima Mandavi Murder Case

Two Men, wanted in connection with the killings of BJP MLA Bhima Mandavi and four policemen in an IED attack in Chhattisgarh in 2019, have been arrested by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) from Dantewada. Both were produced in the special NIA court in Jagdalpur on Wednesday. The court has handed over the accused to the investigating agency for questioning for six days.

For your information, let us tell you that Bhima was killed by the Naxalites during the Lok Sabha election campaign. On 9 April 2019, Bhima was returning from campaigning from Shyamgiri village of Kuakonda block in the last moments of election campaign. During this time, Naxalites blasted and blew his car.

Let us tell you that in the blast and subsequent firing, Bhima and four soldiers deployed under his protection were killed. In this case, a case was registered against unknown Naxalites at Kuakonda police station. The NIA is investigating the case. NIA has arrested Bhima Tati and Madkaram Tati, residents of Tikanpal village of Kuakonda block on Tuesday. They are accused of helping Naxalites and being involved in the conspiracy to murder.
