12 to 14-year-old Children will get vaccine from today, 60+ will also get precaution dose

New Delhi: Children in the age group of 12 to 14 years across the country have started getting the corona vaccine today. Along with this, everyone over the age of 60 is also getting the prescription dose from today. In a tweet, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that today is an important day in India's efforts to vaccinate its citizens. Now youth in the age group of 12-14 years are eligible for the vaccine and all those above 60 are eligible for the precautionary dose. I request people in these age groups to get vaccinated.

Earlier, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya had tweeted that taking forward the corona vaccination drive, everyone's vaccine, under the free vaccine campaign, children in the age group of 12-14 years have started getting corona vaccine from today. He wrote that everyone above the age of 60 will also be able to get the prescription dose from today. At the same time, more than 22 lakh children in the age group of 12 to 14 years have been registered for corona vaccination in Gujarat. Children are being given the vaccine, the second dose has to be taken after 28 days. 

This campaign has been started only in schools in Gujarat so that children get the vaccine in the school itself. In this entire process, more than 2500 children will be vaccinated by visiting different schools.
