WHO's big statement, 'Corona spreading rapidly in the world'

WASHINGTON: Coronavirus has killed more than 15000 people. The fear of this virus is spread among people. Doctors are still searching for treatment to fight this disease. The World Health Organization warned in unambiguous terms on Monday that the spread of the COVID-19 epidemic is accelerating. However, it is still possible to change its trajectory. Also, the WHO has appreciated the steps being taken by the Government of India to stop this epidemic.

According to the information, WHO chief Tedros Adnom Ghebreyes said in a news briefing that after the first case of corona virus came out, it took 67 days to reach its figure of one lakh. Whereas it took 11 days to reach two lakhs from one lakh and only four days to reach two lakhs to three lakhs. But we are not helpless. We can still control the pace of this epidemic growing.

At the same time, while appreciating India's efforts to deal with this epidemic, Dr. Rodrigo Offrin, the Regional Emergency Director of South East Asia Region of WHO, issued a statement saying that to stop the spread of COVID-19 India is taking broad and strong steps. His latest announcements related to quarantine and social distancing include lockdown and postponement of rail, interstate bus and metro services in the affected districts. These steps will help to slow down the virus infection.
