On Monday, heavy snow fell in portions of Jiangsu, Anhui, Zhejiang, Hubei, Hunan, and Guizhou, while medium to heavy rains fell in Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Fujian, and Guangdong, according to the Xinhua news agency.

The public has been reminded by the centre to continue to take measures against the cold weather and to use caution on the roadways when snow and rain are present.
