Mukul Roy Claims 107 Bengal MLAs To Join BJP

Kolkata: Mukul Roy, who joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from the Trinamool Congress (TMC), made a claim on Saturday that could create a lot of upheaval in West Bengal politics. According to news agency ANI, Mukul Roy has said that 107 MLAs in West Bengal will hold the BJP's Daman. He claimed that 107 MLAs from CPM, Congress and TMC will join BJP.

Mukul Roy said that we have got a list of those MLAs and are in constant touch with them. In the Lok Sabha elections 2019, the BJP is back in power with an overwhelming majority. The BJP had won 18 out of 42 Lok Sabha seats in West Bengal. On the other hand, Trinamool Congress (TMC) had won 22 seats. The Congress had won two seats.

West Bengal CM and TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee's fort is not going to leave any stone unturned to make a dent in the fort. Recently, several TMC leaders joined the BJP. The tMC leaders' joining the BJP had begun before the Lok Sabha elections. The TMC is believed to have suffered a major setback in the assembly elections.
