Union Budget 2017: CM Akhilesh Yadav wrote letter to PM Narendra Modi

The Supreme Court last week stated that there is no need to postpone the date of Union Budget that is planned on February 1, just before the elections in five states ( Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa, Punjab and Manipur)

Today, Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav directly wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in which the former has mentioned that if budget is presented before Uttar Pradesh starts voting then the state will be deprived of schemes that will be helpful for the residents.

In Uttar Pradesh, the election will held in seven phases that are scheduled to begin from 11 February. While voting in Goa and Punjab will began from February 4.
