Jaipur: Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Thursday, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of late Indira Gandhi, the first woman Prime Minister of the country, has given great financial help to the maternity women of the four tribal-dominated districts. CM Gehlot has today released the poster, while virtually launching Indira Gandhi Matrutv Poshan Scheme. Under this scheme, pregnant women will now get benefits from the government on second children as well. According to the information received, this scheme has been implemented in the first phase in four tribal-dominated districts of the state. Among them, Dungarpur, Banswara, Udaipur and Pratapgarh are named. Women and Child Development Minister Mamta Bhupesh, Minister Pramod Jain Bhaya, Chief Secretary Niranjan Arya and many senior officials were present in this virtual ceremony. Under the Indira Gandhi Maternity Scheme, pregnant women are provided cash assistance in three instalments. The first aid will be provided at the time of registration of pregnancy, the first instalment of 1000. Then on completion of 6 months of pregnancy, the second instalment of 2000 will be given. After this, the third instalment of Rs. 2000 will be given on the completion of the first phase of childbirth and vaccination. Under Janani Suraksha Yojana, an additional benefit of 1000 will also be given during delivery.
