CM Bhupesh Baghel's advice to Center, says 'before SC order, cancel agricultural law yourself'

New Delhi: The agitation of farmers' organizations against the new agricultural laws brought by the Modi government of the Center has entered its 45th day. The 8th round of talks with the farmers' government agitating against agricultural laws on Friday were also inconclusive. All the petitions related to the performance of the farmers will be heard in the apex court on January 11.

Meanwhile, Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel, while advising the Center, said that the government should cancel these laws before the apex court order. CM Bhupesh Baghel said on Saturday that, 'The central government is advising farmers to go to the apex court regarding agricultural laws. If the apex court orders the central government to withdraw the agricultural laws, the government will have to agree. It is better that the government repeal these laws on its own.'

There's no solution has been found in the eighth round of talks between the Modi government of the Center and the representatives of farmers' organizations on the three agricultural laws on Friday. According to sources, the next meeting may take place on 15 January. Stung over their demand for repeal of the three agricultural laws, the farmer leaders on Friday bluntly told the government that their 'homecoming' would only happen if it repealed these laws.
