Dehradun: Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami has filed his nomination for the Champawat by-election on Monday. RO and Tanakpur SDM Himanshu Kafaultia completed the process of nomination of CM Dhami. He was accompanied by former chief ministers, Union ministers and cabinet ministers besides MLAs of various assemblies. After the nomination, CM Dhami offered prayers at the court of Goljyu. After this, the Chief Minister has left for the motor station for the public meeting. He said that this decade is the decade of Uttarakhand. Many development related schemes are being run. Education, health, roads, drinking water, etc., including the development of infrastructure facilities in hilly districts, are being given special attention. Dhami further said that the BJP will win because our party believes in Sabka Vikas-Sabka Saath. CM Dhami said that many welfare schemes are being run for every section of society. All-Weather Road on the Chardham Yatra route and drinking water are being provided to the villagers through every tap water scheme. Champawat MLA Kailash Gahtori has left the seat for Pushkar Singh Dhami after the defeat in the Khatima assembly seat in the 2022 assembly elections. Champawat assembly seat is considered to be BJP's impregnable fort. Talking about the last election, BJP's Kailash Gahtori defeated Congress candidate Hemesh Kharkwal by 5,304 votes. Kailash got 32,547 votes in this election, while Congress Hemesh Kharkwal got 27,243 votes.
