LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh's Yogi Adityanath government has declared Soron in Kasganj district as a pilgrimage site. According to the Chief Minister, declaring Soron a pilgrimage site, it will protect the area's ancient and sacred sites while also revitalising smaller places of worship. According to a government spokesperson, the move will benefit Charkateerth, Yogteerth, Suryateerth, Somteerth, and Sakotakteerth in the area. Locals in Soron will benefit from the protection of religious sites, as well as new employment opportunities. "Soron is a location connected to Lord Barah. It is mentioned in a number of Puranas. It is thought to be the location where Lord Vishnu's third avatar, Lord Barah, attained nirvana "The spokesperson stated. He claimed that by designating Soron as a pilgrimage destination, its historical sites would be preserved as well. Various Puranas mention the significance of the Soron Sukar area. The region is also known as a place of salvation pilgrimage.
