CM Yogi breaks silence on Sonbhadra massacre, says foundation was laid in 1955 only

Lucknow: After 10 people were killed in the Sonbhadra massacre in Uttar Pradesh, CM Yogi Adityanath of the province has expressed deep sorrow over the incident. CM Yogi has termed the incident as unfortunate. He said strict action will be taken against the culprits. The CM Yogi directly blamed the Congress for the incident and said that the foundation of the incident was laid in 1955, when the Congress government was at the state and the Centre.

CM Yogi Adityanath said that immediate instructions have been given for the action of the incident and a two-member committee has been constituted which has submitted the report within 24 hours of the incident. CM Yogi said that the foundation of the incident was laid in 1955 when the then Tehsildar had committed an illegal act of registering the land of the village society in the name of Adarsh Cooperative Society.

On July 16, about 300 people, including the 'Pradhan'  went in 32 tractor-trailers illegally occupying the land and 10 people were killed in the carnage, and 23 people were badly injured. Challenging the law and order of Uttar Pradesh, the sensational incident has shocked the entire state.
