Lucknow: The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has organized a three-day Jalsa programme in Jhansi. Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and CM Yogi Adityanath arrived and inaugurated the same. Speaking on the occasion, CM Yogi said that we know that when the name of Jhansi comes up, it is called the land of heroes. He further said that the Defence Ministry and the UP government have tried to connect it with the general public. PM Modi is also visiting Jhansi on November 19 at the conclusion of the event. The three-day Jhansi Jalsa programme has been organised by the Yogi Adityanath government ahead of Rani Laxmi Bai's birth anniversary on November 19. Speaking at the inauguration, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that while this festival connects us with the pride story of the country, it connects us with the struggles for the country's freedom, it is also associated with the 'Amrut Mahotsav' of India's independence. Rajnath Singh further said, "I remember the patriotism, bravery, courage and sacrifice of Maharani Lakshmibai with great reverence, bowing down and bowing to her memories.'' Yogi Adityanath will attend the Jhansi Jalsa programme and inspect the preparations for PM Modi's programme on November 19 and also hold a meeting with officials.
