Lucknow: Varanasi, the city of Baba Vishwanath in Uttar Pradesh, is not an idol of any identity. Everything from Kashi's ghats, lanes, clothes to food and cuisine display a different identity. In this fame, Yogi Adityanath took initiative for Varanasi which is called the holy city of Devaloka and Mahadev, will now be known as Sanskrit city in the whole world. Significantly, most Sanskrit schools in UP are being run in Varanasi. It also has the highest number of students studying Sanskrit. More than 110 Sanskrit schools are being operated in Varanasi. Jaunpur has the highest number of Sanskrit schools after Varanasi. In order to expand the Sanskrit language and give it a separate identity, the Yogi government of the state is ready to create a Sanskrit Directorate on the lines of early secondary and basic education. This was announced by the CM in his budget. The Sanskrit language will get a new identity after it becomes a directorate. With this, for the first time in Uttar Pradesh, CM Yogi Adityanath has done the work of issuing a press release in Sanskrit. Together, he also tweeted a tweet in Sanskrit language from his official Twitter account. After this initiative by CM Yogi, the Sanskrit Board has also started promoting Sanskrit language in the state.
