Kolkata: Union Home Minister Amit Shah said during a roadshow on Monday that the National Citizen Register (NCR) will not have any impact on the Gorkha community. He accused the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) of West Bengal of creating fear by spreading lies among the people. After a roadshow in Kalimpong, Amit Shah said that as long as there is a Narendra Modi-led BJP government, the Gorkha people will have no problem.

Amit Shah further said that God is formed by an alliance of Gorkha and BJP. God has sent Gorkha and BJP as a brother-in-law. Congress, communists, and TMC are not aware of the sacrifice of Gurkhas. My Gorkha brothers have never been behind in giving life for Mother Bharti on the border. Shah further said, "NRC is not yet implemented, but whenever this happens, not a single Gorkha will be asked to leave".

Amit Shah attacked the CPM saying that he (CPM) tortured and over 1200 Gurkha brothers lost their lives, did not get justice. Then Didi also killed Gurkhas by firing, did not get justice. Form a BJP government, all will be punished for all these injustices.
