The long drive to expand the Hemant Soren cabinet came to an end on Tuesday. Despite keeping a post vacant, now Chief Minister Hemant Soren has 11 members in his cabinet. It is also a coincidence that in the previous government too, a post of a minister in the cabinet remained vacant from beginning to end. Five ministers in Hemant Soren's cabinet have the highest number of ministers from JMM quota, while four from Congress and one from RJD have got ministership. In this context, the coalition government's blueprint was prepared that along with all the equations, the parties kept a record of the mass base and regional balance. Though the RJD was given a ministerial position due to having only one MLA, the selection of a minister was a difficult task among the 30 JMM and 16 Congress MLAs. When the Congress high command decided the names of the ministers in view of future politics, the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha gave a chance to new faces along with the relatively experienced. Both parties have taken special care of the base vote of their organization.
