Odisha: Temperature drops due to cold winds

Sambalpur: The cold weather has started in almost all the districts of West Odisha including Sambalpur since the first week of December. Thick fog is seen in the highways passing through open and hilly areas. A slight inadvertence while passing through here has also increased the risk of a big accident.

According to the Meteorological Center, the weather is likely to remain the same for the next four-five days. According to the Meteorological Department, on December 8, Sambalpur recorded a minimum temperature of 13 degrees and a maximum of 29.5 degrees Celsius, while suburban Hirakud recorded a minimum temperature of 15.2 degrees and a maximum of 27.5 degrees Celsius. On December 9, the temperature dropped by one to two degrees.

In this way, mercury has been recorded below 15 degrees in 18 main cities of the state. According to the Meteorological Department, the situation is expected to remain for the next 2-3 days. There is hardly any chance of more change in the weather. Due to the cold wind blowing in the interior of Odisha, the cold has started to be felt completely and people have started taking measures to avoid the winter.
