Congress chooses new office bearers in Rajasthan unit

New Delhi: The Congress president Sonia Gandhi has approved new list of office bearers and executive committee of the party's Rajasthan unit, while retaining Sachin Pilot as chief, a party statement said. The Congress on Wednesday appointed seven vice presidents, eight general secretaries and 24 secretaries for its Rajasthan state unit.

AICC General Secretary K C Venugopal in a statement here said Congress president Sonia Gandhi has approved the proposal for the appointment of vice presidents, general secretaries and secretaries of the Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee with immediate effect.

He said the Congress has appointed Harimohan Sharma, Govind Ram Meghwal,  Dr Jitendra Singh, Naseem Akhtar Insaaf, Mahendrajeet Singh Malvia, Rajendra Chaudhary and Ramlal Jat as the new vice presidents of the state unit.

He said the party has made eight general secretaries in the state Congress which includes G R Khatana, P Hakim Ali, Lakhan Meena, Mangilal Garasiya, Prashant Bairwa, Rakesh Parikh, Rita Chaudhary and Ved Solanki.
