Mumbai: Congress leader Milind Deora has targeted his own party on the China issue. He wrote on Twitter that we have become a spectacle in the world due to the political mudslinging happening at the time of unification. Deora said that there is a need to unite against China. Deora said, "It is very unfortunate that when there should be a national voice against the encroachment of China, then political mudslinging is taking place instead of it. We have become a spectacle in the world. There is a need to unite against China." Earlier, NCP Chief Sharad Pawar also advised the Congress on the China case. Sharad Pawar had said that there should not be politics about national security. He said that what happened in the year 1962 cannot be forgotten. China had encroached on our 45 thousand sq km area. Pawar has said that, 'At present, I do not know whether they have occupied any land, but while discussing it, we need to remember the past.' Pawar's comment was on former Congress President Rahul Gandhi's allegation that PM Narendra Modi surrendered the Indian territory due to China's aggression. He also said that it cannot be hasty to describe the incident of the Galwan Valley in Ladakh as the failure of the Defense Minister as Indian soldiers were alert during patrolling. Speaking to the media, the former Union Minister said that the whole matter is of "sensitive" nature. China took a provocative stand in the Galwan Valley.
