Srinagar: Former BJP CM Mehbooba Mufti's rhetoric on the restoration of Section 370 and tricolour in Jammu and Kashmir has raised the political temperature of the country, not just the state. Mehbooba Mufti's statements have been misconstrued by many politicians. In a press conference on Friday, Mufti had said that she would not raise any flag (tricolour) other than the Jammu and Kashmir flag. Meanwhile, Mehbooba Mufti, who opposed the removal of Section 370 from Kashmir, has been advised by Mohsin Raza, minority welfare minister of UP government. Mohsin Raza has said that Mehbooba Mufti should go to Pakistan. Congress national spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala has also questioned Mehbooba's statement. Surjewala has questioned the timing of Mufti's statement. It may be noted that campaigning for the assembly elections in Bihar is at its peak these days and the election rallies are also being discussed in Kashmir and Section 370. Surjewala said in his statement that she (Mehbooba) was a colleague? Why was she released at this time when elections are underway? This is an agreement because the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will say everything except talking about Bihar in these elections. Surjewala also attacked Mehbooba. Surjewala said Mufti has always thanked Pakistan.
