New Delhi: Senior Congress leader and Lok Sabha MP Shashi Tharoor is undergoing corona treatment. Meanwhile, he posted a video from the hospital on social media on Wednesday. Through this, he has hit out at the Centre saying there is no clear policy on corona vaccination. He questioned the Modi government as to how all Indians will be vaccinated by December.
Shashi Tharoor wondered how the government is planning to vaccinate the entire population by the end of December, as Union minister Prakash Javadekar had recently promised. In the video, Shashi Tharoor has supported the Indian National Congress' campaign to allow universal immunization of all Indians within the promised December deadline and to change the government's policy for free.
He said it is unacceptable that this government is asking states, private hospitals and others to buy the vaccine at different prices. That too when the central government has the arrangements to buy vaccines. Prakash Javadekar had recently reported that the Health Ministry has prepared a roadmap to produce 216 crore doses by December, as well as how 108 crore people will be vaccinated. Javadekar also rejected congress and Rahul Gandhi's claim that it could take three years to complete the vaccination process for the entire population.
