NEW DELHI: Just a few days ago, several top Congress leaders had praised PM Modi. They include Jairam Ramesh and Shashi Tharoor. Now, there is an up cry within the party. Senior leader Veerappa Moily has attacked the two leaders. The two leaders have been heard to be fierce. Moily has specifically targeted Ramesh and blamed him for the paralysis policy in UPA-2. He said Ramesh had made controversial remarks on the PM during the period. The former Union Minister also targeted Shashi Tharoor for his statement on PM Modi. Tharoor had said that praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi's right work would give credibility to the opposition's criticism. He termed Tharoor's statement as unfortunate. Moily called for appropriate disciplinary action by the Congress leadership against the two leaders. In fact, Jairam Ramesh had recently said that criticizing PM Modi is not going to help the Opposition. Criticizing the statement, he said his statement was not good. Moily accused Ramesh of compromising with the BJP. He also said that if any leader makes such a statement, he is serving the Congress party or its leadership. He said Ramesh is responsible for the paralysis policy of UPA 2. At the same time, he accused Ramesh of compromising the principles of governance.
