Bhopal: MLA Govardhan Dangi from Bewara assembly constituency in Rajgarh district of Madhya Pradesh has passed away. Dangi was undergoing treatment at Medanta Hospital in Delhi after he tested COVID19 positive, where he breathed his last Tuesday morning. On 25th August, Govardhan Dangi's Corona test report came positive. He was then first admitted to the Viva Hospital in Bhopal. But when his health did not improve, he was admitted to Medanta Hospital. His demise sent shockwaves in Bewara constituency. Several BJP and Congress MLA have been tested positive for COVID19 in the state. About 18% of the members of the Assembly, including former Assembly Speaker NP Prajapati, Tarun Bhanot, forest minister Vijay Shah, MLA Brahha Bharavi, have been found corona infected so far. Out of 203 members of the Assembly, CM Shivraj Singh, 10 ministers of the state, 28 MLAs have been arrested positive for coronavirus. After Congress MLA Govardhan Dangi's demise, another assembly seat in Madhya Pradesh has become vacant. The bye-election will now be held in 28 assembly constituencies, not in 27 seats in Madhya Pradesh.
