Rahul Gandhi puts Congress in 'confusion' again, efforts of veterans failed

New Delhi: Elections for the post of Congress national president are scheduled to be held in a few days. But, even after this, there is confusion about Rahul Gandhi being the candidate in this election. In fact, Congress had announced that the organization elections will be held between August 21 and September 20, but despite several attempts, Rahul Gandhi has not yet clarified his stand. Congress strategists have so far failed to convince Rahul to contest for the president's post, which could delay the election.

Let me tell you that Rahul Gandhi himself has not given any clear indication about contesting the elections so far. Due to a lack of any clear answer, a meeting of the Congress Working Committee has not been called, in which the date of the election is to be fixed. According to the Central Election Authority of Congress, the party has completed preparations for the elections. The authority, led by Madhusudan Mistry, has said that they are ready for timely elections. Now the ball is in the Congress Working Committee's court to announce the election dates. However, the election process in the states is yet to be completed.

Speaking to the media, Mistry said, "We will stick to our schedule. The date of the election schedule is dependent on the Congress Working Committee (CWC). More than 9,000 delegates from all states will vote in this election.''
