During the 'violent confrontation' with Chinese soldiers on Monday night in the Galwan Valley of Ladakh, an Indian Army officer and two soldiers have been martyred. The army gave this information, in the past five weeks, a large number of Indian and Chinese soldiers have been face to face in the Galwan Valley. The incident comes days after the statement of Indian Army President General MM Narwane, in which he said that the forces of both the countries were retreating from Galwan Valley.

Both senior army officers are meeting to calm the situation. According to reports, the Chinese army has also suffered a lot during the skirmish. Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has a meeting with Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat and the heads of the three forces over the clash with China. Foreign Minister S Jaishankar was also present in the meeting.
