BENGALURU: The Karnataka Congress will hold a protest in the state capital on Monday against the Centre over price hikes. According to reports, Congress leaders in the state are likely to attack the incumbent BJP government for supporting Hindutva movements that seek to divide society. The congress alleged that essential commodities such as petrol, diesel, CNG, LPG, building supplies, and chemical fertilisers have increased in price, causing tremendous hardship for the average man. The protest would include Party General Secretary and State Congress in-charge Randeep Singh Surjewala, State Congress President D.K. Shivakumar, and Opposition Leader Siddaramaiah. On April 9, Congress staged a protest against price hikes in district and taluk headquarters.
