Congress will form government in Karnataka on its own, claims former CM Siddaramaiah

Bangalore: Former Karnataka CM and veteran Congress leader Siddaramaiah is confident that the Congress will form the government with an absolute majority in the assembly elections to be held in the state on May 10, 2023. In an interview, Siddaramaiah said that BJP MLAs joining Congress is a sign of the people's loss of faith in the BJP government of the state.

On the question of getting a majority in the May 10 elections, Congress leader Siddaramaiah said that we will win 100 percent. This time Congress will get a majority, and it will single-handedly return to power. Are you afraid that even if you win 120 or 125 out of the total 224 seats, 13 to 14 MLAs will go to the BJP? Responding to this question, Siddaramaiah said, 'Operation Kamal cannot always be successful. If the BJP tries this time, it will fail miserably. I have visited the state many times. This time the wave is clearly visible in favour of Congress.

Siddaramaiah further said, 'This is a very important election for the Congress. We were in power until 2018, and we got more votes than the BJP then, but we could not remain in the government. The coming elections are also very important from the point of view of national politics. If we win this election, it will be a milestone for national politics, as the Lok Sabha elections are due in 2024. He said that this time the politics of Hindutva or hatred will not work in Karnataka. The BJP wanted to win with money power, but according to my assessment, it is not possible.
