Indian Institue of Management Bangalore has concluded it's summer placement program for the post graduate batch 2016-18 with consulting and FMCG firms being prominent for the offers. Over 150 companies have visited the campus for the recruitment process and over 400 students were eligible to take part in the job hunt. In the management consulting space, Accenture Strategy was the largest recruiter with 20 offers. The Boston Consulting Group made 15 offers, AT Kearney had 13 offers, McKinsey & Co with 10 offers, Bain & Company 8 offers and Strategy& with 7 offers were the other major recruiters this year. More than 30 percent of the participating crowd has got offers in the consulting and finance domain with Deloitte, Roland Berger, Alvarez & Marsal, PWC Diamond Consulting, GEP, Hay Group, Synergy Consulting and Feedback Infra Consulting being the top names in the process. "The absence of major e-commerce recruiters did not have an impact on the Summer Placement Process due to the renewed interest from FMCG companies," IIMB career development services chairperson Ganesh Prabhu said in a release.
